Happy Star Wars Day! Here’s a view from Castle Island in South Boston that always reminds me of Star Wars.
Castle Island of course is famous for being the location where Edgar Allen Poe was first stationed during his time in the army (he enlisted in 1827). It was here at Fort Independence where he heard a legend of a man being walled up inside the fort, eventually forming the basis for his short story The Cask of Admontillado. The fort was also an important defense outpost for the city of Boston, warding off British attackers during the War of 1812. Fortunately for us, the British had not attempted a siege with AT-AT Imperial Walkers.
